The Season of Giving

This year BSAW partnered with Elderwood to adopt two lovely seniors for the holidays. Thanks to everyone who participated, our seniors now have their sanitary and hygiene needs fully covered for the year. In addition, we were able to gift each of them pajamas, outfits, cozy throw blankets, as well as arts and crafts supplies and sensory items to bring comfort, engagement, and joy.

On top of supporting our adopted seniors, we also collected a wonderful amount of non-perishable food items for the Friends of the Night food drive, helping extend our impact to individuals and families in our wider community who are experiencing food insecurity.

As a firm we have always tried to remember how blessed we are and understand that we have an obligation to give back to our community. We appreciate all who help make our firm a success. A Merry Christmas to all of our BSAW members, our clients, community and all of your loved ones!

    The Wayne M. Wise Wellness Fund was created to honor the legacy of Wayne M.     Partners Joel Schechter and Pauline Will will be attending the Annual Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) Conference, taking place this week in San Antonio, Texas.

    TIDA is a national organization with approximately 2,000 members, including trucking companies, insurance carriers, and defense attorneys. Joel is honored to be a former President of TIDA, and Pauline has played a key role over the years, serving on numerous organizational committees.

    This annual event is an excellent opportunity for BSAW to reconnect with many of our trucking clients and legal colleagues from across the country, as well as to stay current on the latest developments and challenges facing the industry.

    We are honored to announce that Bennett Schechter Arcuri & Will LLP is sponsoring an upcoming event in support of Peace of the City, a local non-profit and faith-based ministry dedicated to serving underserved youth on Buffalo’s West Side.

    Peace of the City provides life-changing wrap-around programming — including theater arts, job readiness training, small business development, individualized tutoring, and community engagement — all designed to fill critical gaps for children growing up in impoverished communities and struggling within the public school system.

    This mission is deeply personal to one of our own. Kayla Bowden, Esq., an associate at BSAW and proud Board Member of Peace of the City.

    The event will take place October 1, 2025, with appetizers available at 5:00 PM and the program beginning at 6:00 PM. All are welcome to attend, meet the dedicated Peace of the City staff, and learn more about their inspiring work in the community.
