Partner Jim Bennett was again elected as Officer in the Clarence Lions Club. This year marks his 35th year as a Lion.
Partner Pauline C. Will was appointed Vice-Chair of Commercial Transportation Litigation General Committee for the American Bar Association Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section and also to the American Bar Association Law Practice Division as a Committee member for the Women Rainmaker Career Paths Committee.
Partner Jim Bennett served as moderator of the “Meet the Candidates Night” on October 21, 2013. Candidates included those who ran for the Erie County Legislature, Family Court Judicial Candidates, Erie County Sheriff and Clarence Town Council.
Jim will chair the presentation on the compliance issues and responsibilities of serving as a director of a Not-For-Profit. This program is available to anyone serving as an officer or director of a Not-For-Profit entity. It will be held at 5:30 PM on November 18, 2013, at the Clarence Library in Clarence, New York. On November 13, 2013 Joel Schechter will be installed as President of the Trucking Industry Defense Association (TIDA) at the annual conference in Orlando, Florida. TIDA has almost 2000 members nationwide and in Canada, and is comprised of national trucking companies, insurance carriers and attorneys whose practices are dedicated to the defense of the trucking industry. When Mr. Schechter takes office for a two year term he will become TIDA’s first president from the State of New York.
